Indeed, it is a wonderful year

I had a dear friend of mine tell me that instead of saying "happy birthday" to people who had just had a birthday, she would say "happy new year". If you think about it, she's right. It IS the beginning of a new year (age-wise), and what a great one it will be!

On Friday, April 23rd, I had my nineteenth birthday. Now, most people say that it is a "dead year" for a birthday right along with the age of twenty. Of course, I would have to say that they are wrong. For starters, it's closer to becoming an actual adult, and farther away from a past that I don't really want to remember. Also, I feel as if it's the beginning of a fresh start for me!

You see, I really haven't been the best teenager. I got into some bad stuff (you know, drugs, smoking, and the like...) So, I made a few goals for this year of my life and I would love to share them with you:

1) No kissing men until I am spiritually strong enough with God, to say no
2) Stay out of bad situations that will lead me to falling into transgression once again
3) read my scriptures daily
and last but not least
4) ENJOY LIFE!!

I hope that this post finds you all in good health!
